How Many Go Missing?

Date: 12/8/2005
The current statistics on the Garda website are for 2003 which showed that nearly 4000 people went missing in Ireland in that year. To see a comparison with other years see my “About Missing.ws” page in the facts and figures section.

By the end of 2003, 76 people remained untraced. By comparison in the year 2000, 1806 went missing and by year’s end, 22 remained untraced. it is indeed a very worrying trend that the number of missing is increasing at such an alarming rate.
