Search for Fiona Pender

Gardaí investigating the disappearance of Offaly woman Fiona Pender resume an excavation in the Slieve Bloom mountains on the Offaly/Laois border yesterday.
The operation began on Monday after a small wooden cross with the missing woman’s name written on it was found at the site.
Fiona Pender has been missing from her home in Tullamore since August 1996.
No human remains have been found and the Gardai have now completed the excavations at the site.
