Renewed appeal for information on the disappearance of Trevor Deely

An Garda Siochana have issued an appeal for information on the 21st anniversary of the disappearance of Trevor Deely. The 22 year old vanished on the 8th of December 2000 after attending his work Christmas party in Dublin city centre. When the party finished he and some work colleagues went to a popular nightclub, Buck Whaleys, on Lower Leeson Street.

Trevor then left the nightclub and returned to his workplace, the Bank of Ireland Asset Management (BIAM) building, to collect an umbrella as it was an extremely wet night and taxi services were on a strike so he was going to walk home. Trevor had a a coffee with a colleague when he arrived and left about 30 minutes later.

His last known movements were captured on CCTV walking past the Bank of Ireland on Haddington Road at 4.14am and he was never seen again.

The investigation continues to focus on trying to establish the identity of a man dressed in all black clothing who can be seen interacting with Trevor at the rear entrance to his workplace on CCTV. A man dressed in all black is again shown walking a short distance behind Trevor on the CCTV footage from Haddington Road some time later.

Anyone with information can call Pearse Street Garda Station on 01 666 9000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or Crimestoppers on 1800 250025.
